Once a month we invite you to join us for general knowledge questions, comradery and of course wine and food! Bring your smartest friends (or don’t… but we play to win) and show off that random thing you learned while watching a documentary in 2016. Let Trivia Night at Barnard Griffin in Richland be the start to your Slumdog-Millionaire-esque winning streak.
The game begins at 6:30pm, and will last 1.5-2 hours, consisting of 6 general knowledge rounds (pop culture, sports, history… the like) of 10 questions each. Teams can be 2-4 people, or even 1 if you believe yourself to be the ringer… There is no fee to attend, and you can purchase wine and food from our Kitchen whilst you play.

Melon Tasting with Schreiber Farms - RICHLAND
Join us at Barnard Griffin Winery for another amazing tasting with Schreiber Farms!
We are so lucky to have such great farmers in our region – so naturally we exploit this greatness by luring Alan, Liesl and the team at Schreiber Farms to join us for an evening all about melons. The Schreiber team will be at BG on Thursday August 22nd at 6:30pm to talk about, guide you as you sample, and demonstrate the vast number of melons that can be grown in the Columbia Basin.
Tickets are $30 for general public and $25 for club members.

- Lecture from Alan and Liesl all about melons (This duo is truly one in a melon!)
- Plenty of melons to snack on
- A welcome splash of Rosé
Chardonnay Master Class - VANCOUVER
Whether you’re an avid fan of Chardonnay or an “ABC” drinker (Anything BUT Chardonnay), we’re here to share the myriad styles of this delightful grape. At this class, you’ll taste six versions of Chardonnay from around the globe, from austere & mineral to oaky & buttery, and even bright, fresh, & tropical! Chardonnay can grow just about anywhere, and really does it all. Try them all, and we pretty much promise that you’ll find a style you love.
This class will be led by Afton Kortz, Barnard Griffin’s Wine Club Manager, who holds a Level 3 certification in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
The class will take place at Barnard Griffin’s Vancouver tasting room (665 W Columbia Way
Vancouver, WA 98660) from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 22nd.
- Tickets are $35 for the general public, and $30 for Barnard Griffin wine club members.
- Tasting-sized pours (approx. 1oz each) of six different wines and light palate-cleansing snacks are included (attendees must be 21+).
- You can purchase tickets directly through Eventbrite, or by calling the Vancouver tasting room at 360-718-3387. Barnard Griffin wine club members – if you register online, we will charge your card on file one week before the event.
Sparkling Master Class - RICHLAND
If you’ve ever just said “I’ll take the bubbly one”, or scanned the supermarket shelves and settled for that same bottle of Cooks you always get – this class is for you! (This class is also for you if you are just a fan of sparkling wine – because who isn’t!?)
Join us in our tasting room at Barnard Griffin as we go over history, process (SPECIFICALLY THE TRADITIONAL METHOD) and all things SPARKLING – all the while we’ll taste through some of the best imports and domestic sparklers we can get our hands on.
Tickets are $50 for Wine Club members and $55 for general public.
Your ticket will include:
- A fabulous lecture from Liz Moss Woerman
- Take away materials
- Five different pours of sparkling
- Some bread and butter (gotta have a palate cleanser)
Additional wine will be available for purchase, along with delicious bites from our kitchen during class. * A few days prior to the class you will receive a food menu to pre order food items if you so choose.
